Description
Confused, broken – Bronze and iron sculpture (Ed. 25)
"Confused, Broken" is a figurative sculpture made of patinated bronze and iron, created in 2025 and produced in a limited edition of 25 copies.
This work has a powerful and elegant presence, where the purity of bronze contrasts with the industrial harshness of rusted iron.
The piece is constructed on a sturdy, austere patinated iron base, on which rest three fragments of the same head, modeled and cast using the traditional lost wax method.
Each fragment retains unique textures characteristic of the artisanal process, making each copy within the edition slightly unrepeatable.
The green patina finish on the bronze adds depth, an archaeological character, and a sense of emotional antiquity, while the iron conveys solidity, weight, and a certain conceptual roughness.
Symbolism "Confused, divided" represents the internal rupture of the human being, a mind divided between what it thinks, what it sees and hears, and what it ultimately says. Three parts of an identity that do not fit together, three versions of the same face that coexist without ever coming together.
The sculpture reflects the state of contemporary dissociation: emotions, perceptions, and words that often do not coincide, that contradict or sabotage each other. The work invites reflection on this lack of inner alignment, on the silent chaos that arises when one fails to be oneself.
A piece for collectors Ideal for those seeking a conceptual, introspective, and
powerful work, "Confundido, partido" stands out in both modern spaces and
minimalist environments. Its presence invites conversation, catches the eye, and generates an
immediate emotional response. A sculpture that speaks to the human mind in all its complexity.
