Description

Confused, Broken – Sculpture in bronze and iron (Ed. 25)

“Confused, Broken” is a figurative sculpture made in patinated bronze and iron, created in 2025 and issued in a limited series of 25 examples.

This work has a forceful, elegant presence, where the purity of the bronze contrasts with the industrial rawness of the oxidised iron.

The piece is built on a base of patinated iron, firm and austere, on which rest three fragments of a single head, modelled and cast using the traditional lost-wax method.

Each fragment retains unique textures from the handcrafting process, making every example slightly unrepeatable within the edition.

The green patina finish on the bronze brings depth, an archaeological character and a sense of emotional antiquity, while the iron conveys solidity, weight and a certain roughness
conceptual.

Symbolism. “Confused, Broken” represents the inner rupture of the human being, a mind divided between what it thinks, what it sees and hears, and what it finally says. Three parts of one identity that do not fit together, three versions of the same face coexisting without ever uniting.

The sculpture reflects the state of contemporary dissociation: emotions, perceptions and words that often fail to match, that contradict or sabotage one another. The work invites us to reflect on that inner misalignment, on the silent chaos that arises when one cannot manage to be a single self.

A piece for collectors. Ideal for those looking for a conceptual, introspective work and
powerful, “Confused, Broken” stands out in modern spaces as well as in settings
minimalist. Its presence invites conversation, holds the gaze and generates an immediate
emotional reading. A sculpture that speaks of the human mind in all its complexity.
